Business Opportunity Leads Via SEO – Something You Should Know!

You need business opportunity leads and there are certain things you need to do constantly to get your web site to the top of the search engines. Hopefully you have your web site optimized with keywords. You hopefully have done extensive research to go after the correct keyword phrases. Now, what do I mean by that?

First of all, this article isn’t meant to give you detailed instructions in choosing your keyword phrases. I want to just give you a common sense level of approach in just what you are trying to do when it comes to keywords. You need business opportunity leads and if you have gotten to the point that you are looking at search engine optimization (SEO), you want to be smart about it!

Let us do this by example. Go to Google and do a search for the keyword phrase “work at home”. At the time I was writing this, there were 177,000,000 million web sites listed for this keyword phrase. Using common sense, we can say that the URL’s on the first “X” amount of pages really (and I mean REALLY) know what they are doing. The web sites URL’s have probably been in existance for quite awhile as well! I believe the “aging” of a web site plays a big part in SEO as well!

Now it would be great if we could go to any one of the other web sites, (Google lists only the top 100 pages), and see what they are doing. I can tell you though that I have stumbled upon many sites and found that they were going after keyword phrases that will be just impossible to obtain. Why would anyone use the keyword phrase “work at home” as something they are going for, especially when they are just starting out? It’s because they really don’t know what they are doing. Are they stupid? No, or I would have to say I’m stupid too and I’m an internet engineer by trade. When I started trying to use the internet to make money, I had “no clue”, I just fumbled along. If you are doing this, you just don’t know yet and you’re fumbling along as I was. If you are reading this article though, now you know!

By the way, doing a right click with your mouse button on the front page of a web site and then clicking on view source will show you what your competitors are using for their keywords. It isn’t ethical to just use those keywords though and I believe it isn’t legal either. But…It does help in giving you ideas about what your competition is doing and you can learn from it as well!

Here’s a plan: Start searching on the internet for keyword research tools. When you find something you can use, start looking at keyword phrases in your niche market that are obtainable. You don’t have to go for the keyword phrases that are unobtainable…go after a keyword phrase that there isn’t so much competition and yet, if you can get to the front page of the search engine, you might get 20-30 business opportunity leads each day. Build off that and go after another keyword phrase that might get you 10-20 business opportunity leads a day. Now you are looking at about 50 a day. Think about this, of a certain keyword phrase, Google gets about 50% of the traffic. MSN and Yahoo get approximately 40% while all of the others make up that last 10%. There is plenty here to grow your business and yet you can keep going for more business opportunity leads down the road.

What I’m trying to say is that you need a plan and you need to take your time with this and do it right!
