Work at Home Business Opportunity and SEO
By Paulette Sherb Search engine optimization (SEO) is a marketing process to improve the visibility of your business on the internet. Search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN, have developed programs to evaluate the information that is uploaded to the Internet. When people go to the search engines to look for information, you want your offers to show up on the first pages of the search returns. SEO is not rocket science but there is definitely a learning curve involved. Knowing how to strategize and promote your websites to appeal to the search engines and to people can be challenging. Learning some basic techniques and implementing them will get your business started on its way to the top. Search engine optimization or SEO, refers to configuring your web site for keyword phrase inclusion. A keyword is simply the word or words people would use when doing a search to look for information, product or service. If the keyword phrases on your website are as good as or better than similar pages according to Google your web site will be listed as a choice on page one. When you have a work at home business, you absolutely want your web site to land on page one when someone searches for your product. More people will see what you have to offer if you are on page 1 and increases your chance of finding people interested in what you have. Google search engine spiders are programs specifically created to analyze web site content and then compare it to every other website it has already seen. The number of words on a page is analyzed by the spiders to determine if there are enough words to be of value to a visitor to the page. The spider evaluates the hidden text for key words, descriptions, web page titles, link content and image descriptions and more. If the content for your work at home business web site qualifies, this invisible web page crawler then compares the overall page content with your entire website for a consistent theme. Every website must have a consistent theme through out every web page. Web pages that pass this evaluation moves to the next level and a comparison of image descriptions and link content for consistency on your work at home business site. Then the spider determines web page ranking position to be displayed in the search engine 'free found listing' when your keyword is used by a web searcher. The better your ranking the closer you are to page 1. Everyone who is serious about their work at home business is competing for page one ranking. Consistently applying and implementing SEO techniques, over time, is the only way to get the results you want. You might get lucky and have your page pop to the front page in a small category with minimal effort but if you want to keep it there you have to be consistent. If you are not, others who are consistently compete ting for that search category will send your site back to obscurity. Smaller keyword categories on the search engines are easier to get front page listing and will increase the number of people seeing your information. The larger more popular keyword categories will generally have higher traffic views and could significantly increase the number of people reaching your sites. Expect to be in competition with millions of sites vying for front page listings. Those sites already on the front page have done a lot of work to get there. If you want your sites there you will have to put out the same kind of effort, consistently and as well or better than them. When you optimize your web site and it shows up on page one whenever someone does a Google search, your work at home business opportunity will have a better chance of flourishing. For example, if someone typed in nutritional supplement, and your web site is listed one page one in Google for that search term, your site would be seen by everyone who searched. Chances are some of those people will visit your site and actually buy your products. That is the power of SEO. Google search spider requirements and nuances change rapidly. This is called algorithm changes. Right now, 2008, if the web site of your legitimate work at home business has unique qualities and has keyword rich content, it will pass the first test for Google ranking. Keyword stuffing, repeating your keyword or keyword phrases 30 or 40 times in your website content, will get your web site penalized or even banned altogether from Google search results. Taking the time to learn some basic SEO techniques and guidelines will be the most effective use of your time and resources as you build your websites. Business needs exposure to as many people as possible. Not everyone will be interested in what you have. The more traffic you can drive to your website using SEO and other techniques, the more likely it will be that those who are interested will find you. It's all in the numbers! Business success means customers and lots of them. Doesn't it make sense to maximize your time and efforts by getting started the right way? Paulette Sherb

What not to do with business opportunity leads
Why Should You Avoid This With Your Business Opportunity Leads?
By Jim Eberle I am an information junkie. I sign up to just about everything when it comes to network marketing. Over time, I could not even count the number of mailing lists that I am on. I am actually one of those weird people who enjoys getting a variety of information about everything under the sun. In fact, I have learned much of what I know by doing this! But, if you are like me (and most people are), let me tell you something you do not ever want to do. Doing this could destroy any chances of monetizing your lead. Like I said, I thoroughly enjoy getting ebooks, newsletters, free software, etc.. What I do "not" like though is having someone "sell" me something. I will bet you don't like it either! When people are giving stuff away, it is typically to get you on their list. That is okay! It is a great way to build a list and it is done all of the time by many many marketers. I will do the same some day. The problem I have noticed lately, is that as soon as I'm on someones' list, they start bombarding me with sales letters. When I was just getting into marketing, I was okay with this to some extent but usually by the third sales letter, I would just unsubscribe. Knowing what I know now though, If for whatever reason I end up subscribing to somebody's' list and I get an email from them to "buy" something, I am "Gone"! I just simply remove myself from getting anything else from them. This is why you do not want to do the same. Nobody likes being sold to! What you should do instead is slowly and steadily gain their trust. How do you do this? By teaching and guiding and giving information to your lead. By putting yourself in a position of authority! Have you ever been fishing? Most everyone I know has at some point in time. I used to go daily. You don't put a lure on the end of your fishing line and start casting to maybe hit a fish in the head and knock them out! You don't put a hook on the end of your line and try snagging them! You use a lure or bait and "entice" the fish to take a bite. Once their hooked, you reel them in! Over time, I have opted out of most lists. There are marketers though that have "reeled" me in. I enjoy being on their list and receiving information from them. I have been on their list for quite some time and do not plan on dropping out. Occasionally, these people will tell me about something that I can purchase that will help me out. I will sometimes buy! Why? Because I trust them! They have helped me grow in knowledge and have given me tools that are helpful. They have given me tips and hints and tricks (things that I can do) that have helped me in my business! Do you see where I am going with this? If you have one hundred leads and don't make a sale and they all opt out - what good were those one hundred leads? Do the above and your successful! Try to sell me something and I am gone! Business Opportunity
As the Internet grows, as more and more people go online, thousands of them are turning to GOOGLE to look for a solid business opportunity. Not only that but most of these people are learning of the perks of a home based business. You can see everyday on any of the search engines and traffic exchanges. So easy a kid could do it. Yeah Right. If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it and make money to boot. A sad fact that I see is that 95% of the people that ever get involved in a business opportunity, especially one on the internet will never make any profit. It is not always the fault of the online business opportunity that 95% never make any money in their business opportunity. I have found that although some the business opportunities online are outright scams, but besides that, it is that 95% of the people doing those, will never do what is required in order to be successful. Some of the failures may be attributed to bad advise, like surfing traffic exchanges. I personally think traffic exchanges are a total waste of time, it is a bunch of people trying to sell their business opportunity to people already in a business opportunity. Typically it goes like this, this is why it doesn't work. I will look at yours if you look at mine, I have the best...No you don't I do. I am making Thousands in my home based business and I know you are not. Well as a matter of fact I am and you are not..My product is the best...No Mine is...New Prelaunch, get in now...learn how to generate leads... new revolutionary system... That is enough of that now, open your eyes and you will see that you have been lied to. Lied to by the companies, lied to by the distributors, you are lying to your self. In order to be successful in a business opportunity you must have a team. a real business opportunity team that has a vested interest in your success. If you look at any successful big business, there is a CEO, do you think that CEO does sales calls, advertising, and everything else you are expected to do in a typical home business opportunity, No way, He or She delegates those tasks to those subordinates in his organization that have special training in those areas. Why would you think that a internet business opportunity would be any different, it is not. you just need to find one that is not expecting you to do all those rolls and you will find success. Business Opportunity Leads?|Business Leads Via Title And Web Page Optimization
Business Opportunity Leads?|Business Leads Via Title And Web Page Optimization! by Jim Eberle

Getting traffic to your web site is critical in generating business opportunity leads. A big part of search engine optimization is having your keyword or keyword phrases in your page "titles". The text that you place in your title tag is what shows up on the tab of your browser. It is what you place in between those and in your code that reflects this. Again, this is critical in getting leads for your business via SEO.

The most common mistake you will see beginners make is to make the title some strange name or maybe a business name that might be important to the person that created the web site. This can be seen easily just by getting on a web site page that has low ranking. Get on a web site and right click your mouse button, then go to view source and click. Here it will show you the title tag. Obviously, you can just look at the tab of your browser and see what they have included. If you must include your business name, find a way to mix in your keyword phrase with it. Wait, I take that back! Just use your keywords! A good thing here for SEO is to have your keywords match up with your domain name.

If you have multiple pages or a series of web sites, you need to treat them the same way. Each page title needs to be optimized for search engine optimization. Don't just make your title "page 2" or whatever. These pages are linked to your first page. A search engine is going to scrawl through all of them when it gets there. These title tags are so important that search engines will base what is in there as to how they rank that page. You should also, (for each page), have the specific keyword phrase or unique combinations of it. The unique combinations are various search word terms that your business opportunity leads are including when they do a search.

If you've done your own keyword research on specific phrases, it is these phrases that you want to filter in throughout your content!

Let's quickly talk about Meta tags. From the research I've done in regards to this, most everyone is saying that search engines don't really use them anymore. BUT, you might as well put your search terms in them anyway. Search engines like Google change their algorithms often...you might as well have something in there in case they go back to using the meta tags. Remember, designing your web site including pages is criticial to getting business opportunity leads through SEO.

What is the Best Business Opportunity
To answer the question what is the best business opportunity? I must first define a business opportunity before we can determine the best. A business opportunity whether it is a brick and mortar or home based business should be based upon selling goods or services to consumers in exchange for a price. Notice, I said consumers, not distributors. Many business opportunies based on a network marketing model rely on distributors getting more distributors in a money making illusion, that will, 9 times out of 10 leave you scratching your head on what went wrong. In the end no money will end up coming in the door. Due to the fact that most brick and mortar businesses cost over 75000 dollars on average, by time you count location and overhead needed, so I will not address this type of business. So back to the question What is the Best Business Opportunity? It is a home based business based on customers, roughly 100 to 1 ratio of customers to each business affiliate. In my research I have only come accross one business that meets this requirement. Michael Hall
